BELL BEADS

At Beliatore in Bankura district the art of wooden bead things are practiced in major. Necklace of tiny beads were very common. Seeds of some fruits were also used. They were of various sizes round, oblong, conical, drums-shaped etc. During the early days these necklaces were related to religion. Now they are used as costume Jewellery and also for making decorative wall panels.
