Roads

Delhi is well connected through a network of national highways.State roadways buses regularly ply from Delhi to various towns and cities.

The Delhi Road Department maintains offices at a new facility at 665 Neeb Road. The County Engineer rents a portion of the building and stations trucks and crews there for immediate response to County Roads in the area. In 1994, a new 1,500 ton salt storage facility was built adjacent to the garage.

The Transport Department of Govt. of NCT of Delhi is entrusted with the responsibility of providing an efficient public transportation system, control of vehicular pollution, registration of vehicles in Delhi, issuance of Driving licences, issuance of various permits, collection of road taxes. The department also entrusted in policy-making, co-ordination, implementation, monitoring and regulatory functions of all the Transport related aspects of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

DELHI METRO

Delhi Metro is a world-class metro. To ensure reliability and safety in train operations, it is equipped with the most modern communication and train control system. It has state-of-art air-conditioned coaches. Ticketing and passenger control are through Automatic Fare Collection System, which is introduced in the country for the first time. Travelling in Delhi Metro is a pleasure with trains ultimately available at three minutes frequency. Entries and exits to metro stations are controlled by flap-doors operated by 'smart-cards' and contact less tokens. For convenience of commuters, adequate number of  escalators are installed at metro stations.

Unique feature of Delhi Metro is its integration with other modes of public transport, enabling the commuters to conveniently interchange from one mode to another. To increase ridership of Delhi Metro, feeder buses for metro stations are Operating. In short, Delhi Metro is a trendsetter for such systems in other cities of the country and in the South Asian region.

Railway

Delhi is well connected with all the state capitals and international cities in the country through a well laid out railway network. In India, most of the express and mail trains have facilities of air conditioned comfort.

Airports

Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) is located fifteen miles (twenty-four kilometers) south of the Indian city of Delhi. Used by a large number of international airlines, Indira Gandhi International Airport is a busy and modern two-terminal airport.

Power

North Delhi Power Limited(NDPL), distributes electricity in the North & North West areas of Delhi. NDPL is a Joint Venture between Tata Power and Govt. of NCT of Delhi as a result of the privatisation of electricity distribution in Delhi on July 1, 2002.

The NDPL area of distribution in Delhi has been organized into the following districts of Delhi.

North Area

City Circle encompassing Moti Nagar (MTN), Keshav Puram (KPM) & Pitampura (PPR) Districts
Town Circle encompassing Civil Lines (CVL), Shakti Nagar (SKN) & Model Town (MDT) Districts

North West Area

Urban Circle encompassing Shalimar Bagh (SMB) & Badli (BDL) Districts,
Metro Circle encompassing Rohini (RHN) & Mangol Puri (MGP) Districts,
Suburban Circle encompassing Bawana (BWN) & Narela (NRL) Districts.
