Step 1 : Create 'About Us' Page
- 'About Us' page tells the world about your company - products, manufacturing
facilities, quality control system, management, certifications etc. Use formatting
bar to highlight, bold, underline, indent your text to make it attractive.
The format bar is same in look and functionality as MS Word.
Step 2 : Create Your Product Categories
- In this step, you will create your own product categories so that your
product catalog is arranged exactly the way you want.
- First step in creating your own category is to select a 'Portal Category'.
Now, what is 'Portal Category' ?
infobanc.com organizes all its content under 36 main categories and over
450 sub categories. These 450 odd sub-categories are called 'Portal Categories'.
Whatever product category you create, must be connected with one of these
'Portal Categories' so that buyers can locate your product quickly and easily.
- Place your cursor on 'Portal Category' window and click left mouse button.
You will be able to view 36 Main Categories. Select a Main Category and the
window will display sub-categories (i.e. Portal Categories) under selected Main
Category. Select a Sub-category that is nearest to the Product Category you are
going to create.
- For example - if you want to create product category Brass Fastener -
select Portal Category Fastener
- Once you select a 'Portal Category' - the system will display a set of suggestions.
You may decide to pick one of the suggestions or decide to write your own Product
Category. To select a suggestion - simply click on it.
- Write a brief description about the product category in 'Category Content' window.
Like 'About US' page - you can format category description with bold, underline etc.
- Click on 'Add Category' button at the bottom of the page. You have created your
Product Category !
- Use 'Edit/Delete Category' link on left menu panel to make changes in your
product categories
Step 3 : Add Products
- In this step, you will add products under each of the categories you created
in Step 2.
- Click on 'Add Product' link on left menu panel. Fill-up the form with product
name, catalog number, price, brand etc. You will find more information on each
field by placing your cursor on '?' character.
- Select a product category from drop down menu. You will find here all product
categories you created in Step 2
- Fill-up the 'Price' and 'Minimum Order Size' fields - this will help you
cut down un-necessary e-mail exchange.
- Upload an image of the product. The image should be in .gif, .jpg or .png format.
Its size should not exceed 70 Kb
- Click on 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form. You have added
the product
- You can add maximum 6 products under each category
- Use 'Edit/Delete Product' link on left menu panel to make changes

Step 4 : Add Announcements
- This is an optional step to help you make public announcements.
The announcements should be about your company/products only. For example,
use this facility to announce awards received (e.g. you have received ISO certification,
best exporter award etc.), jobs available in your organization (so that job aspirants
can apply), news items about your product/company etc.
- There are categories like 'Jobs, Awards' etc. to arrange your
announcements in helpful manner

- Please note - announcements are in public domain, whatever you place here
will be visible to whole world. Exercise caution - do not announce
personal information that should never be made public.
Step 5 : Check System Generated Content
- A part of your web-site's content is based on information you have
submitted in other sub-systems of infobanc.com. For example, your contact
details, brief profile etc. are generated from information you have submitted
in Membership Form. Your posted Buy/Sell/Biz trade leads come from trade lead
section. To make changes in such content - please visit the source of such
content and make changes. Your Web-site will automatically be updated.
- For example - to change your telephone number in 'Contact Details' page -
please visit Member's Control Panel and update your profile.
Step 6 : Review and Make Your Product Catalog Online
- Click on 'Preview' button on left menu panel and review your web-site
content, Make changes wherever necessary. Once you are satisfied - make your
web-site on-line by clicking at 'Make it On-Line' link at bottom of left menu
panel. Your website will be instantly visible to whole world
- By default - when you are creating web-site, its offline (i.e. not visible).
You can check whether your website is on-line or offline by checking
status message at the bottom of left menu panel. To change status - click on
the link immediately below status message. You can make your web-site on-line
or off-line anytime.
