  • CuteFTP
  • Ws-FTP
  • Coffee Cup Free FTP
  • FTP Explorer Free FTP

You may buy or use a free software for uploading and downloading files.

Configuring Your FTP ?
You need to tell your FTP software few information before you can use it. In software parlance - its called 'configuring your FTP software'. A typical ftp software needs following information for configuration:

Address of your web-site:
You may provide IP no (if you have it) or ftp.yourdomain.com It is always better to use ftp.yourdomain.com as IP address may change without any notice.

User-id and Password :
Without this information, your web server will not allow FTP software to access your web-space

Default location at local and remote sites :
This is an optional information - but providing this will save lot of time. Default location means the directory in your local PC and directory in remote server - the FTP software will connect initially. You may change directory in local PC as well as remote server afterwards. For example - default location in your PC could be "c:\yourdomain\" and the same in remote server could be "/www/
