Upward Trend in Export of Engineering Products
Indian Engineering sector has achieved 38 per cent growth during April to August' 2004. Notably, this impressive growth has been on Dollar terms - far ahead of overall export growth of 24 per cent till November' 2004.
As a result, Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) has revised its export tatget to US Dollar 12.75 billion for current year. With this rise in export target, share of engineering sector to the overall export target of the country will be 17 per cent, one per cent higher than last year.
