Cashew export targets Rs. 50 Billion mark by 2015 |
| Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CECPI), which is celebrating its Golden Jubilee, is targeting exports worth Rs 5,000 crore by 2015. The council is also aiming at employment generation of 10 lakh by that year, according to Mr Walter D'Souza, Chairman, CECPI. He said that the targets could be achieved by increasing the domestic crop size to about 12.5 lakh tonnes in a phased manner. The Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development, under the Union Ministry of Agriculture, has chalked out definite plans in this respect. |
