PAPIER MACHE

In West Bengal Papier mache is not a traditional handicrafts. Some students of Santiniketan School of Artists were pioneer of this handicraft. They started this work in Calcutta. Today the craftsmen of Calcutta and its suburb have taken up this work and their products have found a wide market. The beauty and colourfull designs of the dolls and masks, made of Papier mache have attracted the customers.
