Respected Sir,
I am Malaysian, who is very fond of mangosteen since growing up in Seremban
Now lives in San Francisco Bay Area, California USA.
I do have 150 retail outlets, in Northern California.
In terms of economics,
I am concerned about shipping and the price consumers had
to pay because mangosteen doesn�t last more than a week in room
temperature@68F
My understanding:
Typical mangosteen shipments that are sent to overseas markets are
frozen in their whole form, complete with the skin and the non-edible pulp.
Around-18F which kills most parasites
Even frozen, as whole fruit, its delicate taste may only be good for a few months.
So, how do you ship mangosteen to America, economically?
Assumption the order is 1000 mangosteen
Shipping is done by air frozen@-18F, what must I pay FOB,
and if the profit is 5%, what must I sell each mangosteen for?
Mangosteen is still very rare in major food chains, SF Bay Area.
Please give me all details and I do like to get a sample of your mangosteen
