Many thanks for the message below. Rest assured all those who
respond to my request will get a suitable response.
My current request via the Great Indian Bazaar is as follows:
Please put me in touch with a small but reputable, trustworthy
and reliable Indian trading / Exporting Organisation or
Individual willing to expand into the Australian Market
(which is a small but affluent one).
The starting concept (crawl before you walk before you run is
my philosophy) will be to sell quality Indian products via the net
to Australian consumers.
This could take the form of Indian books eg yoga , cookbooks etc,
Greeting cards, digital memory cards, software, perfumes, CD’s etc
i.e. anything small in size and unique about India just to mention
a few. I am sure as we explore this together with the right
organisation/person there will be ideas galore.
The key attributes of the products will be that they are small in size,
easily posted Australia and easily handled through the Australian
postal service and off course have to be items/products in demand
from time to time. Selling on a consignment basis is preferred but
this is something that can always be agreed to
I hoping that through your vast network of businesses and
individual you will be able to put me in touch with the right
contact(s) – as they say there is a right lid for every pot.
I hope this has not been to long winded. I wanted to express
myself clearly to get the correct business match.
My brief background is as follows:-
Former Finance Executive with Tata Electric Companies –
Mumbai, India
Senior Finance Managerial positions in Australia
with Bankstown City Council, NSW State Rail
Authorities and AMP.
I am currently consulting to Australian businesses and
also in a business start-up mode for myself.
I am a CA(UK), MBA and affiliated with many
international professional bodies.
I and my family have lived in Australia for over two decades
and understand the Australian market very well.
