We require soda ash
The details and specs are:
1. Outer appearance: powder of white or light grey colour,
without any mechanical impurities.
2. Mass fraction of sodium carbonate, (Na2CO3), min % 91, 5
3. Mass fraction of potassium carbonate, (23) max. % 5, 0
4. Mass fraction of Sulphur mixtures, converting to K2SO4 max, % 4, 4
5. Mass fraction of iron, converting to (Fe23), max, and % 0,008
6. Mass fraction of substances insoluble in water, max % 0, 01
7. Bulk density g/cm, minimum 1
8. Mass fraction of moisture, maximum % 1, 0
Remarks:
A Norms on indicators of No. 2 - 6 are given at the rate on a solid soda ash.
B The mass fraction of moisture is on allocation (checked) at the moment
of shipment from the manufacturer.
C For soda ash produced by monohydrated method, the bulk density not less
than 0, 8 kg/dm3 is required.
Analysis Method:
Russian standard: GOST 10689-75
