Our association is the first in Batam to regulate the 
region's price for rice. We are registered in the Local 
Indonesian Chambers of Commerce as well as the 
Association of Holder of Special Importing Identity 
Number (APPENPIK), Batam, The Special Number has been 
approved by the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and 
Commerce (NPIK). 

Background: We are serious in becoming a sole agent in 
our region and need information that will assist us in 
providing the best lowest price for rice in Batam. Here we 
have some enquiries: 

1. What are the prices for white rice, par boiled rice, 
new crop 25% broken and other types of rice below US$140 
(that are cheaper from those of Thai rice) but still good 
in quality. 
2. We will need approximately of 15000-2000 MT (total) 
per month. 
3. What are the procedures? 
4. How the shipment and charges applied (C and F) as we 
would like it to be sent to Batu Ampar port in Batam, 
Indonesia (about 15 miles across Singapore) 
5. What is the method of payment (L/C)? 
6. Could you please provide us detailed information 
regarding this matter?
