Only 11.5% of firms in Cote D’Ivoire have a line of credit or loan from a financial institution, compared to 22.7% regionally, and 35.9% for all countries surveyed.
  3. In the World Bank’s Worldwide Governance Indicators (2010), Cote D’Ivoire is in the 10th percentile or lower for the Political Stability, Government Effectiveness, and Rule of Law indicators.
  4. Côte d’Ivoire is one of the most open countries to foreign equity ownership, as measured by the Investing Across Sectors indicators. All of its business sectors covered by the indicators are fully open to foreign investment. Its score is 1.1 points lower than last year, reflecting a significant decline in property rights. Cote d’Ivoire is ranked 24th out of 46 countries in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, and its overall score is slightly above the regional average.
